Navigate & leverage diversity
The ability to perform in multi-cultural environments is more critical than ever, in Asia and elsewhere. But while our natural psychological preferences can be directed towards personal development and positive work and life outcomes (through self-awareness and behavioral practice), the deeply ingrained values that are the basis for one’s ‘culture’ are something that cannot easily be influenced.
To help managers and their teams to navigate cross-cultural challenges competently, and even embrace multiculturalism as a source of inspiration, career satisfaction and competitive advantage, I offer to acquire cross-cultural competence both in training and coaching for the international manager:
- Cross-Cultural Coaching: With the aim of improving cross-cultural management skills, we together look at how culture can influence work situations, and explore how to deal with cultural differences effectively. Taking the coachees’ own cross-cultural experiences and challenges into consideration we work on a specific personal development plan, with specific & personally relevant objectives relating to cross-cultural management.
- Cross-Cultural Training: Our training initiatives are intended for managers who lack the experience required for entering a specific cross-cultural challenge or situation with confidence. Here, I offer to conduct an assessment that provides a personal profile and contrast it with the profile of the target culture. After the training I assist you with one or several coaching sessions to provide immediate support and guidance for the challenging cross-cultural engagement.
