THE COACHING PROCESS
Although it can take many forms, coaching is based on three fundamental principles:
- Self-discovery & clear goals. Guided by your coach, you clearly identify where you are and where you want to be.
- Planning & Acting. Setting goals is just the first step. You also need to have a clear strategy and act on it.
- Responsibility & Accountability. Your coach monitors your progress to assist you staying on track and to support your commitment to success.
As a coach certified to ICF (International Coaching Federation) standards, I follow these three principles. However, for better results, I adds various other proven techniques in our coaching sessions, such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the Clifton Strengthsfinder and the Apollo Career Profile.
